Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Perempuan Korban Pelecehan Seksual di Sarana Transportasi Umum

Abstract

In the 4.0 era, technological progress is developing very rapidly so this also affects the progress of transportation equipment. Not infrequently, public transportation such as trains, Go-Jek and Grab are ordered digitally. The advancement of transportation means actually has an impact on criminal acts of sexual harassment. Sexual harassment is an act that violates norms and laws in Indonesia. Women are vulnerable to cases of sexual harassment because women are considered weak and unable to fight back. This research uses a normative juridical approach method collected through secondary data from various relevant literature sources. The aim of this research is to determine the legal protection for victims of criminal acts of sexual harassment and law enforcement for perpetrators who harass women on public transportation. From this research, it was found that in fact women still feel anxious about using public transportation. Based on positive law in Indonesia which has been outlined in the Criminal Code, victims of criminal acts of sexual harassment must be protected and given justice.
